A bird flew by my ear

Some, well many actually, of us are here to tackle the grit, provide support, fix the cracks, share learned wisdom and truth, express gratitude, basically create the embracing environment, so the “wheels” (even if it’s only the wheels of others who get glory and celebrated recognition) can easily move and run freely, and that’s an important job because without that contribution, perhaps whatever good could happen maybe wouldn’t. And we need that good and joy to happen, so today, or someday, it may even be that being able to love who you want to love and be your true self, and nurturing the gift of humanity, are the golden threads and the cherished metrics of success.

Our contribution could be as simple as this: The other day while I was feeling frustrated about currently not being able to contribute much help, I decided that I am one of many who are simply here, in this moment, to be part of a valuable collective bubble of love for birds, butterflies, snakes, dragonflies, deer, fish, flowers, trees, and any other beings, including humans, while these beings have earthly presence, and that is special and valuable, and why we belong here. We may not, and often do not, receive clanging bells of gratitude or achieve ease or any celebrity for ourselves. But we can every moment be grateful for the presence of life on earth, even when sometimes the interaction with some living things or beings is challenging. So I decided when a bird speed flies by my ear, creating a whoosh sound, or feels comfortable using the bird bath near where I am sitting, that is a message to me that the love is working.  That is the recognition and the reward.

“4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.” 1 Corinthians 13

(By the way, a post I crafted in my head a few days ago was darker and past focused, and the fact that I didn't even attempt to write it is a success. 😊🦋)
